WHAT? WHAT?! WHAT!
So these few photos I took Saturday about noonish at one of the St. Charles parades. I had my iPhone on me so I rattled off a few. The rest of the weekend I left photo taking up to Christie and everyone else. I'd rather partake and hang out than try to document everything. At some point I assume Christopher. will throw up a bunch of shots as will Christie.
I can't really remember how everything went down... but we got in late Friday and left Wednesday morning. It was all a blur to say the least. In a nutshell we got in Friday... hung out for a bit and crashed. Saturday I ran around with everyone while Christie went to her sister's wedding in Wiggins (couple hours away.) Saturday evening we walked all over and got looped and ended up back at C & B's. Sunday we all got costumed out to do Thoth at the Magazine St. House. Tim had it all laid out and the pad looked awesome. Afterward a bunch of us walked down to Buddha Belly per usual. Typical drunken shenanigans. Lundi Gras we went out to David and Theresa's new house for a BBQ. Very nice place, real cool. Afterwards we went back over by Miss Mae's to do the parades, etc. Mardi Gras Chris, Bran and Christie got back into costume and we headed over to Checkpoint Charlie's to do the whole Marigny neighborhood thing. Ended up being a big ass group of us and everyone as far as I could tell got faced. Not a pretty sight by the end of the evening... I vaguely remember walking to the car and leaving the lot. I was not driving. Proceeded to go back to the house and go "Cookie Monster" on some Baked Cheetoes™. Bringing a magnum of merlot in my backpack was not a wise move. Had most of it on top of cocktails and draft... and no lunch.... which equals "stupidity." Anyway Wednesday morning we got up... laughed at how dumb we all are and crawled in the car and made the 5 hour drive back to this place. Once at the apartment, I got cleaned up and drove to B'Ham because I had to be on set bright and early Thursday morning for a photo and television commercial shoot. That was not fun times at all.
Again there was more drama... funny stuff, etc. that went down... but here are a couple of highlights... not all just a taste.
1) Dirt Nasty "1980" turned into the official anthem for the 4+ days we were there.
2) Me, Christie, Chris, Brandy, Kevin and Michael dressed as super heros walking from the park over to Magazine St. for the parade.
3) Chris Y. (dressed as Superman) directing traffic in front of Buddha Belly.
4) Seems like we ate 10 days in a row at Buddha Belly. I'm not a big hamburger eater and I was on that shit at every turn.
5) Someone close to me (I won't name names) who was dressed as "Weed Woman" this year... ironically enough had to go take a drug test Monday. Go figure.
6) Christie getting booted from Miss Mae's for standing in the "Men's Bathroom" line.
7) Maybe someone can add some of the stuff I missed in the comments section... I'm done.

Sounds like the usual business. And that's why I love it! Thanks for the recap. I can't wait for the rest.
We also did Dirt Nasty for New Years.
Oh yeah don't get me wrong it was a blast. But Mardi Gras sort of turns into Ground Hog's Day (the movie) at some point. It is always awesome fun though. We "heart" it too.
Sounds like you guys had a blast. Lisa and I were planning to head down that Saturday and Sunday but something came up and we wound up not having the funds to go.
Steve... next year maybe you guys can shack up with us... we might have a place for you... looking like it anyway.
okay, that was a surface recap. anything more would be embarrassing. but i will, however, elaborate on state of our kitchen after Cookie Monster went nuts on the Cheetos. we are STILL finding those damn things! i've never seen so many orange fingerprints. it looked like a crime scene from Chester Cheetah's murder.
good times. Kenny, you keep me going.
@ Chris... hey man it is rare (these days) that I start running on auto-pilot a.k.a. blackout and go nuts in the kitchen... that was more my M.O. in the mid 90s. Not good times all that business. Where it went wrong is me taking that magnum of wine with me... that was an awful idea. Alot of fun... but a bad idea. No wonder I was faced by the time we got back to the house. Oh well it was "Fat Tuesday" and most of my fat can be traced back to that Cheetos bag I suppose.
