Yesterday I turned in my letter of resignation. Not fun. I hate stuff like that. The agency I have been working for for the past three years has been very good to me. But all that said... time to move on. Everything has a shelf life. Change is good. Christie has resigned from her job and landed a new gig, so now it's my turn. I'm looking very hard. No matter how it plays out, by the end of April we will be unpacking in New New Orleans. That's not a typo. In my opinion New Orleans existed pre-Katrina and New New Orleans is what is growing back in it's place. I don't expect the next few months to be a cake walk... but it is going to be fun. We have several friends who are long time residents of the city... plus instead of a five or six hour drive back home we can get up to see our families in a mere 2.5 to 3. Big difference. I have no plans to grace central Mississippi again... been there and done that way longer than I ever should have.... you can't go home again... but you can visit from time to time.
We are very excited.

we used to keep an apartment on Dumaine, always have loved New Orleans. Wish you the best of luck there, I know it'll be a good place for you.
