So Christie and her sis Rachel drove from New Orleans in one car so I could drive the truck and have my car for the return trip. After work Friday I loaded that small, ten footer up like a UPS truck. Floor to ceiling, side to side. There was no air in that load. We split early Saturday morning and got into New Orleans about 1:30ish. I kid you not as we are unloading the truck we are listening to music booming from a street festival a few blocks over. Short of a jazz funeral kicking it up our street it couldn't have been more cliched New Orleans(esque). Anyway got all unloaded the house was a wreck but it was there. David, Theresa, Brandy and Chris Y. dropped by and much wine was had and a bottle of Champaign (compliments of D & T) made the rounds. We were so tired that wiped us all out. Sunday rachel split back home and Christie and I got most everything moved around and put up. Monday I had a meeting, we took the truck back and I got out of town. Got out way later than I intended and didn't get back to Auburn until almost midnight. get all the rest down in a couple of weeks. Shouldn't be that bad. Mostly all big furniture.

and the best part? after "much wine" was had, it was only a couple of blocks to the house.
