New Orleans has a large population of Quaker (or Monk) parrots. Anywhere you see a palm you'll typically see them around... and they love building these enormous communal nests on the power line towers. There's a big colony on River Road, and this morning traffic was backed up so since I was right underneath them I took a pic. I've heard that they migrated here... some people believe they are escaped pets... no matter. they're here to stay.
