Gator Head Repaint

So just to rehash... a co-worker of mine liberated this fiberglass, alligator costume head from a certain abandoned amusement park. It was actually dozed up in a pile of garbage. This was prior to my own adventures there. I loved the thing. So I bought it off of him. It looked cool as hell as it was... grimy with a chipped paint job and a patina. If I were to just display it, I may have left it alone. But I plan on using it next Mardi Gras... so I scrubbed it down... patched a couple of cracks and repainted it.

My souveneer was a gold frame in which I plan on painting our "Welcome 2 Zombieland kids" friend, In his glorific zombie paint, prior to the orange peen someone thought he needed after "we fixed him" :). He's gone now, there are some videos and pictures of it online since its been cleaned up for movie sets. They even filmed a parade in the downtown area. Surreal I tell you.

Really? Interesting. Share those links if you would. I had no idea they had been doing anything out there recently.

prepare to have your mind blown. i wish this person would have posted more, but I'm constantly searching flickr to find updated photos of the place. its been in the media a lot lately and is now properly gated with very limited access points. the cops are patrolling the area again and anyone aside from film crews with a permit will be arrested for trespassing. from what I've seen though, a few have still gotten in, and it seems they only cleaned the front area http://www.flickr.com/photos/randearcher/5907374381/
